Oh, hi!

I'm Rebekah. An author, a writer, and a woman who spends way too much time with her head in the clouds. Writing keeps me somewhat sane and always joyful. Take a look around and thanks for stopping by my little corner of the universe.

Train Gone is intense and provoking and will have you thinking about it the entire time you’re reading it and for days afterward. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves gritty memoir, religious studies, sociology, psychology, personal growth, personal development, or is interested in stories from those raised in an oppressive religious environment, and stories from women who go against social norms.

Self-described as grinding "with the graininess of an old-timey Western photo - harsh, serious, rough, and troubled", Mallory's writing evokes this imagery on every page. She writes with fluidity and uses words in ways that paint an undeniably clear image for the reader. Her remarkable storytelling ability brings the reader into the mind, the heart, and the very soul of a woman struggling to find herself and her place in the world.

Mirrors Strike Back is a seamless extension of her predecessor Train Gone, with the same earthiness and edge. Once again, I was drawn in by Mallory’s gift for storytelling and wordplay; captured by her vulnerability; comforted by her relatability. As with the first book- I was sucked into Rebekah’s world, strapped in for the ride and devoured it in less than 48 hours!
